Plant Chicago in the news! Univision reports on free Education Programs

Plant Chicago provides programming free of charge for Back of the Yards residents and students. Univision recently published an article on Plant Chicago’s free programming for the neighborhood, entitled ‘Estudiantes del Barrio de las Empacadoras aprenden de ecologia y aquaponia gratis’ or in English, ‘Back of the Yards Students Learn about Ecology and Aquaponics for Free’.

We offer hands-on Closed Loop Labs (workshops) in various circular economy and ecology topics such as: aquaponics and water chemistry, aquaponics design challenge, native pollinator habitats, nutrition and nutrient cycles, and vermicomposting.

To learn more about our programming, visit our Hands-on Learning page.

If you know of a school or class interested in scheduling a workshop with Plant Chicago, please contact us at info@plantchicago.org.
