Virtual After-School Program: Fun with Fungi!

Join Plant Chicago's Education Manager, Rock Evans, for January's After-School Workshop where we focus on mushrooms and fungi!

During this class, students will learn all about the fantastic world of mushrooms and fungi. Using simple agar plates, students will collect their own bacteria & fungi samples from various surfaces in their homes to explore all of the different colonies of fungi that exist in a home setting. Participants will gain a basic understanding of the fungi and bacteria that we live with in our daily lives.

Participants who live in the Chicago area can choose to purchase and pick up the materials for this workshop at our Firehouse Market.
